Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Why is everyone picking dream tan #2? Isnt this the red brown color? I would rather gold brown myself... I am naturally tan and think this would suit me better.... As for 8-12 coats... Well I am not sure about 3-4 only... Maybe the dream tan will make that much of a difference I hope... But what you fellas don't realize is that I am not willing to risk another loss if I go with 3-4 like I did in my last show... When it comes to placing 1st or 2nd, I will not want to finish 2nd due to not being dark enough... The other guys seemed to blotch out there cuts and still placed higher... Darker is better PERIOD... This is what most have told me and what ive seen that is needed to succeed in presentation on stage... So I will go with 8-12 coats minimum... I'm using this high # as a safe-haven... I'm not going to lose for not being dark enough... Not this time... I worked too hard... So im going to apply as many coats as I feel are necessary in order to achieve the look I desire... I suppose I can put 2-3 coats on day of the show without showering... But I am definitely going to get the dream tan this time around... I want to lose b/c of things that take time (size, definition, etc), not poor preparation (tan, posing, etc.).
