I heard medium chain triglycerides just help prevent your muscles from losing their glycogen stores during normal activities, not strenuous exercise. I think they are helpful because they are a viable energy source if you should need them, but if you do not use them they are most likely to be expelled. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you want to bulk isn't this good?
