Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Well, I hit 300 lbs, so I'm trying to wean myself off it. The problem with dbs is that they go in 10 lb increments past 95 (like, 95, 105, 115, etc.) That's a 20 lb difference overall. So I'm doing 13 reps at 105 but can't get a single one at the next level. I like low reps, high weights. Right now, I do both. Smith for heavy weights, then dbs for some stablizer action! Next time I'll try 115s and skip the smith - if there's big enough spotters to hand me up the weights that is! That's like a sorority chick in each hand. It's gonna rule! If not, I'll do smiths, then a drop set of 105s or 95s. Thanks for the advice! And the weight loss is going well. I'm soon out of the 250s. My goal is 225. Pictures coming soon guys!
