Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Maybe I am turned off by doing a marketing blog because, as a shopper, I am turned off by huckstering? There's no reason not to use a blog for marketing, especially since Google and the other SEs are heavily spammed already. But I think it's more credible take the time to learn a bit about how to use any business tool properly, and give it a fair test, before simply endorsing it because friends/colleagues are doing it. If blogging is mainly for personal satisfaction -- well then blog on! Enjoy! Personally, I've got nothing to say that isn't in my descriptions. I've already made those available on the web. I totally refuse to talk up my inventory to make it sound like something it's not. It is, in fact, ordinary stuff that ordinary folks in the past had around the house. I don't need a blog to say that. And I'm sure as, uh, heck not gonna blog that what I sell has wide appeal, and that contemporary satanists as well as Christian ministers collect it or decorate with it. As do celebrity cult leaders. See, I could come up with some sensational entries, sure to offend just about everyone. I do have a blog on Blogger, by the way. But it isn't business-related. So, I am not anti-blog by any means.
