Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Jana, the majority of dealers who post on this the Store Fronts forum are dealers on malls that have a money back guaranteed policy. Even on ebay if someone doesn't like something all they have to do is contact me and they get their money back. I only pick stuff up that appeals to me and I would buy personally. In case I am stuck with it. My honey and most everyone I know knows I will go thru about 1000 things to find one I personally find nice. I usually leave them in the dust when we are shopping in a market or antique store. You are correct in stating most people want mass produced stuff from back in the good ole days but memories sell and sell good. Everyone wants what their mom or auntie or grandma had on the table. It is called the antiques and collectibles market. You come to this board to get traffic to your ebay shop but I cannot understand why in the world you don't want to know about anyones life outside of this screen. I love to hear about the other dealers lives and they certainly know about quite a bit of mine. A community has loosely developed with all kinds or quirks. I personally think anyone in this field has some sort of extra gene. We aren't clones either though so I respect your reasoning or whatever. Believe me when I say I find it hard to sell. I love pretty things but if I kept them all ummmm well. At one time I had over 47 dolls. Figure someone else would take better care than me so sold a few. I still have some to sell but it has to be the right day. We don't have any lovey dovey stuff in our descriptions either I don't think. I just came back from vacation to a country where I didn't communicate with hardly anyone. I am ready to jabber. I am a talker, always have been a talker. Come from a huge family. If you didn't talk you would pretty much starve. Have french in my blood so pretty passionate about most everything. Even Oprah says to do what you love.
