Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Online-Merchant -- thank you for your many thoughtful comments. I never said that blogging would not work to generate business for sellers. I did say that I personally find it off-putting. I do not have -- and have never had -- an About Me page on Ebay, for either my buyer or seller accounts. I do read About Me pages on Ebay before I buy or bid. If I am not turned off by what I read, I continue with my bid or purchase. If I don't care for what I read, I hit the back button twice and take my $$$$ elsewhere. I did have an 'about our business' page in my Ebay Store until I reached about 50 feedbacks (100% positive). Then I removed it. Which didn't hurt sales a bit. Quite the opposite. Here's a super article about the different way people (women, specifically) shop: http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060731/20060731005520.html?.v=1 I'm one of the few women who always consult size charts, know my measurements, and don't care what the size tag sez. What I want are clothes which make me look great -- a different size on a tag doesn't change my measurements So I can wear whatever is in my closet, year after year, just rotating the colors and styles a bit to match some trends. Yup, I am not typical. Jana Original of the message was taken from http://www.auctionbytes.com/forum/phpBB/ Previous Post: Some major snippage of TMI No, I most certainly am not h...
