Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Yeah, I hear ya, Lord. No one wants a fee increase. I know my opinions are always a minority of one here, but I think the store listing fees were too low before. I've been expecting this. It's what I would have done, based on many Stores I've viewed on Ebay in the last few months. Let Google, Craig's List and the other online fleas host these items! Ebay has recognized that other online venues are springing up offering listing services for flea market junk and they want to get out of that business. All the mall sites, including Trocadero, allow junk sellers to join if they follow the rules and are willing to pay the fees...I guess they figure the few stubborn flea stores won't bring down the neighborhood too much. Ebay isn't a charity, it's a business -- and they should be able to use the same business practices for setting store fees that the malls use. I'm happy with my sales from my Ebay Store -- my business is slowly but surely improving. Compared to what I was paying at the malls, the new Ebay Store fees aren't unrealistic.
