Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Great Discussion! I have store a in Ruby Lane, 2 Ebays stores and 2 CyberAttic store. I do great in my Ruby Lane store but the fees are adding up however as long as my fees run 15% or so, I am pretty happy. Vintage costume jewelry does very well on RL. I have an Antiques and Collectibles store and a jewelry store on Ebay. I love my Ebay stores and do very well in both of them. The Ebay glitches can run you crazy but it is defintely somewhere you may think to open a store. You can not judge how a store will do by how your auctions do. Two totally separate worlds. I have had sales from my store at 4 times what the same item sold at auction last week, Never ceases to amaze me! CyberAttic has totally dies for me. I have made one sale there in months. I have already given notice to close one store and probably will close other too. I have been thinking about giving Tia's a try. I was there for a couple of months last year but I was a newbie as far as shops went. I had only had a RL shop before and Tias was so much more complicated than RL. It was also during the time when they were having the slow problem and listing took forever. I have been shopping there and browsing and it seems all fixed. Defintely been thinking about it I also have thought about an stand alone website. Just do not know how well it would do with a mixed batch of items. If you specialize in certain things, I think it could be great! But for misc merchandise, I just do not know. Would love to see JP's set up once they get it done. May light the fire under me:) Good luck on which ever you choose. I think with hard work, lots of listings and a little bit of luck, any of the cites will be good for your items.
