Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Hi, CJoe -- I didn't SEARCH. I was trying to browse subcategories. And, yes Greg, some did work...and some didn't. But that is not my main objection to the site. My objection is the overall unprofessionalism as I posted above. I am wondering why BV is encouraging its customers to go thru a faux verification program. What kind of buyer needs a faux security verification to feel comfortable buying $3, $5 and $10 items? The site looks like it already has a feedback rating system. I've made the same observation about the 'Buy Safe' seals for sellers of inexpensive items. At least the Buy Safe verification process actually confirms the identity of the seller and their financial health. Unless the seller is using a fake Buy Safe seal, if you know what I mean, and even then the mall doesn't close the shop. Most of these safe buying assurances do little to keep dishonest sellers -- or sellers with mental health issues -- off any site entirely. They can't. A security rating on a site with mis-represented items, listings loaded with hype but lacking essential information (for example, gemstones for which I believe certain disclosures on grading must be made), and a category system which instantly misleads buyers about the age of items is....a joke? But, sheesh, don't take my evaluation seriously. I mean, I wasn't impressed with Joseph Marc either.
