I can remember putting items on ruby lane and they would sit for many months before they would sell and so the 25 cents keeps adding up as you are continually adding more merchandise to your site. I dont think ruby lane is for everyone. If you plan to be very serious about your site, that means that you have to list inventory almost daily, so you would be paying ruby lane daily and them some for the other stuff that is there. But for those that carry hundreds and hundreds of merchandise and are always adding to the site, ruby lane would put them in the poor house for sure. Not only that, you are always going to have off months in business. Right now I have had 3 really bad months, i looked at my report from last year and it was the same thing, the months of Feb, March and April were awful. So, if i had to pay 25 cents for each item in my store, I think i have at them moment like 550 items, that would be $137.50 and that does not include my advertising fees. This last month I had 10 sales, it was a bad month for me and between my commission and my advertising fees, my total bill came to $83.00. But, if you are a dealer that carrys just a few hundred or less items on your site and you stay out of the managements way at ruby lane and agree with what they say at all times, then you should be okay. Also, let me recommend trocedero to you as well, they charge a flat fee and no commission at all and they are ebay friendly.
