Emphasis on the whore's because of Sharon Stone, whose character, Catherine Tramell, is just an evil slut who seems like she learned how to talk dirty by obsessively watching Sex and the City. She is like Samantha Jones gone all psycho killer! And by the way, the death scenes are nothing like the original. We never see some woman stabbing people to death with an ice pick. The ice pick is totally out of the story, which is okay because that was used in a previous book by Catherine Tramell (she's a writer who gets her "inspiration" for books from the murders that are always happening around her). She has to "come up with new ways to kill people" as she says in the movie, Basic Instinct 2. The movie revolves around a male psychiatrist named Dr. Glass who evaluates Tramell after she's survived a car crash where her passenger, a famous soccer player, drowned when the car fell into deep water. Tramell was driving and getting fingered (no nudity seen) by the soccer star while driving 110 mph. Tramell gets off (yet again) when she's deemed innocent, and then she's back in Dr. Glass' life as a patient for awhile. Like her character in the first movie, she knows all about the leading man's life, his dirty secrets, and she's linked to all of his friends, even his ex-wife (apparently Tramell and her were "girl buddies" and Tramell also slept with the ex's boyfriend) Like I said, it's not sexy, it's not like the original Basic Instinct except it uses some of Jerry Goldsmith's music a lot, the plot of the story is very boring and absurd... a man in Dr. Glass's care went psycho and killed his pregnant wife seven years ago, his name is Cheslav, everybody in the movie is CONSTANTLY saying "Cheslav"... Cheslav, Cheslav, Cheslav! Seriously, I thought I was watching Beetlejuice or Candyman, but Cheslav never appeared! Not even in a picture! We are forced to hear so much about this man, but who the f*** cares?! Don't see Basic Instinct 2. Stay at home and lose risk addiction (the mental condition that Dr. Glass says Tramell has) because seeing this movie is a risk! I'm a fan of the first movie, which felt more like it was dealing with... basic instincts! This film deals with obsession, creating problems with your mind (and your movie, too, apparently), but mostly it deals with that invisible man, Cheslav! Stone's character talks dirty (more explicit stuff than her dialog in the first film) but hardly puts out! Dr. Glass comes over to her house, but she closes the door on him because he stole "her friend's insulin" (which was in a hypodermic needle, the new, but never seen used, ice pick) ! Her only sex scene with the shrink didn't even happen on his couch, which I thought would have been more right for Basic Instinct 2. No, it happens in her dungeon of a house, is very short indeed, and involves a belt wrapped around Dr. Glass' throat, choking him (don't EVER try this at home) I hearby declare Basic Instinct 2 completely criminally insane! omg i just rented this movie...what a total let down...i wouldnt recommend this movie to my worst enem tear http://www.usachatnow.com Original of the message was taken from http://www.movieforums.com/community/ Previous Post: earns #1 as this years worst movie and possible the worst sequel ever ...
