Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: i tried an st in guitar center once, it was on like half volume (about bedroom volume) and it sounded halfway decent. but that was a while ago, and it might have been when i wasn't as picky as far as tone goes. but i've heard some people had problems with the ST's. but you're looking at an AT, right, from what i hear, they are like the poor man's rectifier. Liutenant Dan on here (i haven't seen him for a while)had the at100 half stack, and he said he liked it, and 'poor mans mesa' seemed to fit, he said. if you look online, there are lots of comparisons between the dual rectifier, and the at100.
