Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: If you are looking to buy, vintage 800's are usually considered quite good especially if you are into hard rock and metal...although they don't get like super super super heavy. I used to have a JCM2000 DSL100 halfstack and it sounded pretty good...but I'm really into blues and other genres that use a more overdriven clean sound and its hard to overdrive a 100 watt tube amp. If I had a DSL50 with a quality 212 I might have liked it more or even a DSL401. My new setup is basically just a scaled down Marshall.
