Taking what Gadd did with "50 Ways," try substituting in hi-hat foot notes for regular struck notes - the difference in sound can be anything from negligable to blatant, depending on how much you want it to stand out, and it makes a nice little subtle accentuation. Keeping a steady 8th note pulse with your right hand and throwing them in on the 'e' and 'a' of the beat can have a great effect as well.
