Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: Okay, during the lull between final projects and final exams, I sketched out a few of my ideas. Let me know if any of them are on the right track or if they're too cliche. First: Ninja killing pirate. I gave up on this one halfway through the sketch but I'll throw it up anyways. I decided that there just isn't enough threat of the ninja losing to make it an interesting picture. I just felt the urge to make a blood trail after seeing SirGreenSock's samurai piece. Next: Knight against a huge monster. In this case, a giant worm. It's been done though, so I guess it's more of a last resort. Last: Giant robots fighting in the sky. I think I'm leaning towards this one just because I love the simple designs of retro robots. Not that robots fighting is entirely new either. That's all I came up with so far. Please keep in mind that I spent less than 5 minutes on each of these so don't critique the art itself. However, I welcome any advice on concept/composition.
