Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: er, you have it completely the wrong way around. I made a guitar last year, i willl find a pic of it. The neck is extremely hard to make (i bought one) as you need it to be very strong, straight, inlays, a nut, tuners, and calculate the frets. You COULD make a neck of course, but if u did, u may as well make the body as well The body is very easy, all you need is to get a block of wood, and put some holes in it, (although it helps to maek it a nice shape ). If you bought a body, u would need to get the pickups to fit the body, not the other way around. Heres what i did, bought a neck, and some wood. Cut out he shape (of a flying V), buy hardware, drill holes so it fits, then u can sand it down, and paint it. Then u just wire it, which is very easy I made that V, and that was done for a school project in 40 hours. That includes designing as well, so the actual guitar was made in 27 hour or something.
