Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: It is possible with a digital camera, and it should be possible with yours, but you might not get as much control of the settings of the camera as you'd like or need if it doesnt have a manual or aperture-based setting I did a very quick research on the CP L4. and it is capable of an aperture of f/2.8 to f/4.9 - everything from 2.8 to 4.9 should give you a pretty limited 'depth of field' especially 2.8, but this again depends on how close you are to the subject (tree or whatever), the closer you are, the more limited will your DOF be.
