Posted at December 31, 1969, 6:00 pm: I'm not going to argue with you about the distance anymore because it's pointless but if you want a 100 percent answer as to why we pay less how about the fact we have the second largest reserves of oil in the world. Specifically The Athabasca Tar Sands. Not to mention, England is roughly the size of 2 of our provinces (roughly) so yes, the driving distances are similar... if we're speaking of just those two. However, you have to think of the several other provinces plus all of the states in America and that is where the distance argument really takes root. Gas prices suck for everyone no matter where you live (bar Venezuela and Saudi Arabia) and if you think you deserve a right to bitch, then considering we have our OWN oil reserves and still pay a considerable amount for gas (I pay almost a buck a litre), I reserve mine.
