Hey guys, I just started workin out about 3 weeks ago, and I have been going every other day for the entire 3 weeks. I have been working my chest with the fly machine, but about a week ago I decided to try the bench press. For some reason I can only rep 95 pounds, while one of my friends does 135. I look much bigger than him (6ft 173 pounds, while he is 5'11 and 148 pounds). I understand that he has been doing the bench press for 6 months, so obviously his pecs are stronger than mine, but is it unatural to start at 95 pounds? When you guys started benching do you remember your starting weight?

BTW this is all the flat bench

Max bench generally refers to ure 1 rep max.
