Posted at April 3, 2004, 10:15 am: G'day from Down Under... Listen, I need some help. I am writing a book on email list building, except there's a catch! I'm not doing any of the writing. Let me explain guys... I have gone out and interviewed 28 of the net's leading Internet marketer's on their most successful techniques for building an email list. I'm not chasing a huge 'tele-seminar' style expose on their strategies. Just a simple 'this is what I have done, here is an example'. 1-2 techniques is all I've obtained from everyone thus far. So far I've got contributions from guys like Frank Garon, Yanik SIlver, Tom Hua, Jason Mangrum, Chris Bloor, Edward C. Thorpe, Brett McFall, Marc Goldman, Bryan Kumar etc etc... The list just goes on and on. And I've got to say, I have read a number of list building books but some of the stuff I've got so far blows them out of the water. For example, one of these marketer's uses a multi-subscribe form to some JV partner's ezines on his own 'Thank You' page when somoeone subscribes to his ezine. His partners do the same for him. It doubles the number of subscribers each marketer gets from thier pop ups/subscribe forms. But there is a trick to a\making this work. Another marketer emphasizes the importance of having 'multiple lists'. He has a subscriber list, a customer list, a failed orders list and a jv partner's list. How many people over look that? There's the story of someone who made $20,000 from a list of 1,000 subscribers. And another story on 'JV Brokering' which is very unique and unbelievably powerful. The list of excellent stories I've got so far is endless ... ------------------------ But here's my dilema... ------------------------ I don't have any contributions from anyone on how they've grown an email list using ebay and/or other auction sites. Which leads me to my post.
