Posted at September 1, 2003, 11:55 am: Hi there! I have a question about a record I picked up. I don't know if I have it priced right or not so if you can let me know I would appreciate it! It's a Frankie Avalon Italian Juke Box Demo 45 on the Chancellor Record Label. Most of it's written in Italian and the songs are "Motivo D'Amore" which translates to "Love Reason" and "I Sorrisi Di Sera" which translates to "The Evening Smiles". I used Babel to translate them. also the numbers on the record are CH/02050/A and CH/02050/B 24-1-64 which I believe is January 24, 1964. these are engraved on the blank inside rim of the record itself. There is a sticker on it which reads "Complimentary for Demonstration Purposes only Not For Sale" On the record label it says "Servizio Juke Box" which translates to "Service Juke box" Above the titles of the songs it reads "Dal XIV Festival di Sanremo" which translates to "from XIV the Festival of Sanremo" It also says on the label "Vietata La Vendita Al Pubblico" which translates to "Prohibited The Sale To The Public" it's also made in Italy. I priced it at $25.00 and am thinking of putting it on eBay. Is $25 too high or too low? any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks! I also have a huge lot of Italian records from Italy and a small lot of German ones from Germany...Things I've NEVER heard of and most is in Italian and German....is there normally a value to these? I sorted them by record labels to sell in lots of however many of each label..is that a good idea? Listing each one individually will just kill me!
