Okay, I was pretty pissed off when I saw that Italy won. Don't get me wrong for being racist and putting Italy down, that's not the case. The problem was Zidane and that Italy player he hatbutted.
Zidane, being a graceful football and a gentlemen with a good record of sportsmenship, could have done what he did out of stupidity. Think about it, Zidane has been playing football a long time and has endured a variety and numberous insults on and off the field, but never has he ever done, as far as i know, something so rash before. That Italian who he headbutted must have said something to him that really got under his skin, but what?
My guess would be that that Italian must had fun of Zidane's age, nationality, as well his failed attempt to headbutt that prefect pass earlier in the game into the goal. Zidane must have gotten enough of failing and the Italians, and so when that last insult reached his ear, he lost it.
That was just my theory, maybe the real reason is completely different. If you know the true story behind it, post it here for me please.
