I'm having leg problems right now so I haven't been working lower body for the last 2 weeks..

However, I do upper body 2 times a week:

chest, tris, bis

chest, shoulders, back

I still keep eating the same amount of protein. My question is:
Is working out 2 times a week enough for my upper body or will the excess protein go to waste the other 5 days of the week? If so, I am willing to work upperbody up to 3-4 times a week. Is there any need for this? Or will my upper body continue to develop as it normally does without the protein going to waste?

Also, should I stop consuming as much protein on the 5 off days? Cut down on the protein shakes?

Eat as you would the same for all 7 days, injured or not.

But what happens to excess protein in the body.

Eat the same.
