So my best friend just got kicked out of his house. He's asking me to move in with him and I told him I couldn't because I just dropped $3.5k for tuition.

I feel really bad, I told him I can help him out with money, furniture, groceries, decorating, etc. But I still feel like a jerk, this is my friend from grade school. Has this ever happened to you guys? How'd you handle it?
