ok guys i need your help.

i've always been fairly hardware orientated (using real synths and multitracks) but now i want to use my computer a little bit.

I need a program that can handle all types of audio files, and provide a wave visual that you can edit, and burn audio CDs. It has to be simple, cheap and work on a Mac.
i used to use the program called "audio view" that's part of "audio station" which came free with IBM aptivas back in the day, i really like that program and crave for something similar.

i also need some way of digitizing the audio to import on the computer, i was looking at the EDIROL UA1-X it looks like it would provide the perfect bridge between my multitrack and my computer and it has a nice price. any thoughts other suggestions?
