Hi, Looking for advice on getting an untested US Source up and running in Australia.

I recently bought one (locally) from someone who said that he got it with a lot of other gear and could not get it working. He said the problem was that it a us model.

It is in fair to poor condition and i have no idea yet if there are any problems with it. I've downloaded the service pdf but cannot tell if the same transformer is used for the xport model.

Is it better to use an external step down in this situation, i am aware the 'crazy source' problem.

If i don't get the change over done i'll probably have to find a three hole to two prong power cord some where.

What would you do?
