Posted at August 26, 2017, 2:28 am: These are the GENERALLY ACCEPTED (MOST PLAUSIBLE) Gantz answers to commonly asked questions... Alright, as I look around the Gants forum this past month I notice an increase of noobs and an increase in questions that have been asked so many times that many older members are about to pillage and rape the local villages. So I will make a quick list of frequently asked questions about Gantz(from what I remember) and if I miss any just post/message me and I will try to find time to add it in.(also feel free to correct me if I am wrong seeing as well even the best of us forget things Please take note that any theories here are not said to be factual but very plausible or reasonable ideas to answer said questions. Seeing as Gantz has a tendency to not answer certain questions said theories are needed to at the least give an idea of an answer until the series itself clears up any doubts Alright I'm only going to say this once so PAY ATTENTION. I made the questions go in mostly mission arc order. And by mission arc I mean from the start of specified mission(or in the onion alien's case a bit before it) to the point just before they start the other specified mission(so it includes the time when they are in normal life mode as well) Now I know I got a few questions mixed up and a few that might seem sloppily placed are there because it seemed relevent to the mission/arc. And before the arcs are Faq about the MANGA in general(release dates,etc.) and Gantz himself as there seem to be one too many questionsed asked about him *plz note that if you haven't read the series at all then chances are good portions of the story may be ruined ------------------------------------------------------------------ The Manga Q:"When will Chapter ___ be out?" A:Raws are normaly online by wednesday nights, however the Mangaka is prone to taking breaks. Currently the chapters are forghtnightly (every two weeks. Q:"Is it out yet?" A:Check google. Q:"Is there no chapter this week? A:Maybe yes, maybe no. As a general rule, if the mangaka says no chapter this week in last week's chapter, then there will deffinately not be a chapter this week. If there was no chapter last week, then there is a 50% chance there is no release this week either. Q:"Is it translated/scanslated yet?" A:If you have to ask, probably not. Q:"Why do you guys take so long to sub?" A:We the forum, are fans, not a scanlation group. However, several members of Illuminati Scans frequent this forum. Try checking the link in one of their sigs, or the 'We're forming a scanslation group' thread sticky ------------------------------------------------------------------ Gant Q: Does anyone know exactly why Gantz chooses the people in Gantz A: As far as I can tell no, in fact we only get a somewhat vague idea that after Izumi showed up he is getting "strong" people but even then it still seems random Q: What is the deal with Gantz? Is he God or something A: Simply put weather Gantz is God or not is up to debate, but for the most part he has a very childish and immature nature, as well as a childish morbid sense of humor if you need proof look at the panda and the dog. Now as such it is very easy to see that he tends to do things just for the hell of it or for his own amusement with this in mind and you can therefore find some logic behind some of things he does Q: Why was/is a panda and before that a dog in the Gantz room when they are useless A: They arn't useless the dog ate out everyones first favored busty gantz girl and the panda hugs Izumi. Seriously as previously stated it's likely an outcome of Gantz childish nature. Although there are theories stating that maybe the animals serve as a mascot, you know to try and get everyone motivated or something like that. Another is that Gantz can't tell the difference between a human and a normal animal so take your pick.(others can elaborate on this if they like Q: Why do the Gantzers appear invisible to normal people most of the time A: Think of it as changing a frequency. As light at different frequencies are near impossible to see with normal sight to humans so are the Gantzers as they go to this different "frequency" ------------------------------------------------------------------ Onion Alien arc Q: Whats the difference between the weapons?(gun wise A: Well we have the X gun which seems like a normal gun and what appears to have a medium range of damage effect Then there is the Rifle, it seems to have a sniper ability which so far has only been used ONCE throughout all the missions and from the first mission it seems to have a wider area of effect The Y-gun is specifically for restraining and sending an alien, to where? hell if we know not even the "pro" Nishi knew but it seems to give less points, probably because the alien isn't dead Other than that they(with the exception of the Y-gun in which you have to restrain the alien in order to send it) can cause instantaneous death to both alien and human alike Q: Why is there two Kishimotos A: According to Nishi Gantz messed up and made a copy of her thinking she was dead but as it turns out she really wasn't dead to begin with thus resulting in the two Kishimotos. Q: What was the deal with the old lady A: The whole thing was Kurouno thinking back as Nishi told them they they were hypnotized before they were brought to the room. Nishi says"Didn't someone talk to you before you died? Thats when they got you." or something tot hat effect. So basically Nishi was making up shit so everyone would believe him and go all helter skelter so he could get the points. Crafty Bastard isn't he ------------------------------------------------------------------ Tanaka Alien ar ------------------------------------------------------------------ Buddha alien ar Q: When did the dog die A: It is a general agreement among most Gantz readers that the dog died sometime during the Buddha arc...presumably stepped on by a statue Q: Why was izumi able to remember about Gantz A: Well Gantz fucks up from time to time, which was previously stated by a previous character of the series, also no one ever said the memory wipe was 100% effective to begin with ------------------------------------------------------------------ shorty alien ar Q: Why did the alien come to Kurouno's school A: That was the only alien he didn't kill(at least I think it was) so when time ran out the alien tracked him down for revenge Q: Where did Izumi get all those guns A: Well assuming you have the knowlege that guns are almost impossible to get unless your a cop the most logical answer comes in two words, Black Market Q: When did Kurouno learn about that locking on stuff with the gun A: Well I'm pretty sure(and most seem to agree) that he learned about it on his own free time, possibly after he gets his assed raped by the alien that kills half his school to the point before he fights Izumi Q: Who was the person who made that website A: Nishi pure and simple; if proof is needed then take in what Izumi says about the site. Q: If Nishi was the author of that website then why didn't his head explode A: Many believe it's Gantz being flaky on his hush hush rule, or that he feels that since it's an internet website no one is likely to believe it so left him alone ------------------------------------------------------------------ dino alien ar Q: Where did Izumi get the sword A: He got it in the room where Gantz stores the bike, and yes you can see a stock of swords lieing on the ground Q: How come no one found out about the room that opens after Gantz starts A: Well seeing as most of the characters tried most of the doors in the room BEFORE Gantz started the mission so they assumed that the doors were always closed Q: How come there is a panda in the Gantz room now A: Well simply put there are a few theroies, the most popular of which is that Gantz has a fucked up sense of humor to begin with so he could just have it there to just be a prick but realize Gantz is kinda random when he puts people in the room so that might be another determinate factor.(people can add to this if you want Q: Why hasn't Kurouno told everyone Izumi is the reason why they are in Gantz A: Well as others have guessed it is probably because he feels it would cause too much trouble(after all they did end up splitting into two groups one that follows Kurouno and the other people who seem to do whatever the hell they want as long as Izumi is o.k. with it) or as one forum member put it Izumi body slaming him into the floor was basically like a message of "tell anyone and I rape your sorry ass."(feel free to corrct me on that Q: Was that message of "get **(I forgot the number) points or you die" by Gantz for everyone A: No it was only for Kurouno and it is assumed that that is the penalty for not killing the alien/s within the time limit Q: Whats with the vampires A: All we really know is that they hate Gantz and that their goal is to kill the Gantzers as well as Gantz, What further role they will play is still unknown other than an eventual confrontation ------------------------------------------------------------------ LOTR alien Q:What was Tae doing there A: Most I could gather(and everyone else as far as I can tell) is that she was gathering references for he manga, or to draw in general Tae "alien" ar Q: Why was Tae considered an alien as well as why didn't it end when the film was destroyed A: Well she apparantly took a picture of the Gantzers in action without realizing it resulting Gantz to be angry. As for not ending it after the destrustion of the film is simple, Gantz is a dick.(that and he probably going anal on that secrecy rule he has Q: Why is Tae on the list of people who can be revived A: Not eveyone is 100% sure but the general belief is that because she is human and not and actual alien she was put on the list, while others believe that including to this Gantz put that there as a way to keep Kurouno in Gantz Q: Can you revive an alien A: Gantz clearly states any HUMAN from the database, besides would YOU want to revive a homocidal alien bent on killing you at first sight after you killed it?
