ok, what would happen if:

you plugged the output of a CV signal (say an LFO) into the input of one attenuator,
and plugged the output of that attenuator into the input of another attenuator,
then plugging that output into a CV input say filter cutoff

would both attenuators give the same response

or

would you get course tune and fine tune controls over the signal strength?

if so then using 2 attenuators would work really well when trying to fine tune that VCO on the ring mod pedal!
