OK, fine. No one wants a Moogerfooger VCO. Let's talk about faking the sound with what we have. I like the sound of the self-oscillating 101. I don't currently have a keyboard that outputs CV, so is there some other way to "play" a moogerfooger? I tried running my keyboard's audio output into the input of the sample and hold on the 251 and the output of the S&H into the cutoff input of the 101 while it was self-oscillating. No dice, I guess it needs a voltage, or maybe my keyboard (Korg) uses some different standard for audio as well as CV?? I was figuring that the S&H would "sample" the voltage of the pitch I was playing and set the cutoff at the same frequency. OK, OK, audio is not equal to CV, I still got some things to learn, in my mind I had just rigged up a fantastic pitch/cv converter. Any other ideas? I've been looking at the www.synthesizers.com keyboard ($390) which outputs CV and seems well made, and I imagine that would work for this purpose. Anybody tried their stuff?
