Just cooked a 30 quart pot of squash bisque and it taste awful! A real, real, real, bad bitter taste. The only thing that we think that could have caused this is some bitter yellow squash. It was home-grown locally, fresh and cleaned and washed before using.

Any ideas on how to overcome the bitter taste

Ingredients: butter, chopped onions, potatoes, carrots, yellow squash, zuccinni, water, bovril chicken base, cayenne pepper and salt. Once veggies are saute in butter, water is added along with chicken base and seasonings, then cooked for 90 minutes. Last step - puree
