Posted at September 4, 2005, 11:36 am: Bodog has the "bottomless" bonus, 20% all the time. Many of you know if you play Bodog tournaments, their bonus, even though it decreased lately, is very good--maybe the best in the industry. But if you're a Stud player--now you're really cooking with gas! Since Bodog counts Stud antes as contributions (and for the bonus to be released you must contribute to the pot)--if you get into a good Stud game (and IMO the Bodog stud eight games can be very good--today when I looked at the Lobby 73% of the $3/$6 room were going to 4th street)--you may be clearing your bonus at a KILLER rate! Even if you play at lower limits, you can earn .10, or .25, or .50 of a Bodog poker bonus point. This is a much faster rate of clearing than tournaments--although it's not as great as other competing sites that have x5 clearance bonuses. However if you're in a hot $2/$4 or $3/$6 game--I'm not sure if the Bodog bonus can be beaten. I hesitate to mention this because it's so good--but often there are not enough players to get a good stud game going and they don't last long. You'd think if it was so good, there'd be people grinding out their bonuses on the stud tables, yet Holdem is still much more popular. A few Bonus Whores to keep the games running would be great. So learn Stud and/or even better Stud eight (I love Stud Eight and a lot of people play it horribly). Get the Ray Zee Stud Eight book, start out at Absolute with their low ante games (and at .50/$1 it only .02!) and you'll ramp up quickly.
