ok so basically i've been laying down solid colors on top of each other and altering shades for shadows and such. but how do i really get better at painting? like adding textures where they need to be added and stuff. i have a picture below that kind of shows the kind of stlye i want to achive. the picture doesnt just have solid colors, but more like...various shades with a grainy texture. i dont think this is produced with just overlaying or burning grunge brushes on top of ur picture. any tutorials on better painting in general would be appreciated alot. thank you in advance. i really mean it. time is a very valuable thing.
