well i've been a 3d modeller for about 1 year or 2 now...but....i've never gotten into the materials or lights section. basically...i've just been creating models and such in editable poly. well i made a car...and i kinda need help setting up the right materials and lights to give it a realistic look. the model is about 90% done or so... i dont have any money so i cant buy any renderers (such as brazil). i've been planning on becoming a 3d modeller games (mods for hl2). so...up until this point i've been modelling guns and vehicles mostly. i have tried organic modelling and after my third attempt at making a face...i ended up with a decent one. well here is my model of my car(its a clay render with a simple skylight + shadows). can anyone help me?
