Ok gang, it's that time of the year again. Football betting season is here (NCAA football kicks off next week and NFL pre-season is well underway). That means there will be an increase in traffic at all of the major sportsbooks as everyone comes in to make thier bets.

This is good news for anyone playing at poker sites linked to large books. The increase in traffic at the books will mean more sports bettors (and non-poker players) will be drifting over to the poker tables. This will mean the games will get softer.

I played a few stud games at Bodog last night (during and after the NFL games); and the games were as soft as I've ever seen. This is great news because, with Bodog's recent bonus policy changes, the best way to clear their bonus is with stud (2/4 or higher is best).
