Hi everyone:

Can anyone explain a technical trademark question?

if a domain name contains the name ebay in it, does it automatically violate "ebay's" trademark.

For example ebaymarketer.com (ficticious)

or ebaysuperproducts.com

I am under the impression that in order to violate a trademark

a) the site would would have to portraying to be associated with Ebay.

b)It would have to be an auction site similar to ebay

c) Ebay would have to trademark every considerable domain name which contains the word ebay in it.

I need a clarification because I am under the impression that
Ebay cannot possible have trademarked "one word" names that happen to contain the word "ebay in it".
