I've started something new today and thought I'd get other people's input on it to see if it has been tried and what the general opinion is. I call it table churning.

First, some basic info: I play 1/2 limit, 10 handed games. 3 tables at a time.

I sign up for my first table by taking the first available seat...I just want to start playing. Then I take a look at either the flop % or pot size, find the largest one and sign up for that specific table. I do the same for the third table (this may take me a while to get on 3 tables this way).

After I'm at 3 tables, I look at the flop/pot size and see if any of the 3 tables are now below the average for all the 1/2 games. If any of them are (usually the first table); I find another table with high flop/pot and get on the waiting list. I leave the low flop/pot table as soon as the blinds come around.

I repeat this whenever a table tightens up over time and check the lobby on occasion to see if the averages are dipping below the average of all the tables. If a table has above average pots, I get on that waiting list and then drop my low when the time comes.

By doing this (so far); I'm able to get off a table before it turns really tight. I take a small win and bank it and buy back in at another table for my standard amount.

Have others tried something like this? Is it sucessful at all?
