From Today's Announcement board on eBay:

We are pleased to announce that we will soon be introducing 1-Day Listings. In addition to the currently available 3, 5, 7, and 10 day durations, sellers will be able to list their items in auction format for a 1-day duration. To list a 1-Day Listing, sellers are required to have either a minimum feedback rating of 10 or be ID Verified.
