I really wouldn't consider myself a pro but I am losing my job (downsizing the dept.) and since I have gone back to school full-time I am looking to make money playing poker. I don't need a lot to live off of as I have a wife to help support me (atleast for now - divorce seems to be on and off again but that is another story for another day). I have constructed a poker blog to help me define my goals (I find it easier if I write them down). Any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated - unless it is the whole "your a dumbass for doing this" kind of post. I am looking for a modest earning each month (roughly $1000) and I have done that plus some in the past so I think I can come out around their at the limits I currently play. I will be mostly bonus whoring of course with a few tournaments added in.
A couple things to consider that helped me with this decision -
1. I have savings in case I run bad that I can dip into for bills and such.
2. My wife covers most of the bills anyway and any money I make from poker will be for "fun" stuff.
