I know that a 20 inch LCD with 1600 x 1200 resolution would be ideal for 4 tabling. However, I can't really justify spending around 700 for a monitor at the moment (although I have tried...)

Is moving from a 17 CRT monitor to a 19 LCD worth $300 or so? There is a slight flicker on my 17 monitor when I go to a 1280 x 1040 resolution, so I run it at a lower resolution. Main purpose would to improve my poker playing experience, but would also like to free up space on the desk, so am not really considering 19 CRT.

If so do I need to worry about response time and DVI? Not really a gamer anymore.

I moved from a 17" CRT to 17" LCD and it was worth every penny.

Very few 19 in lcd's have 1600x1200 resolution.

I think your eyes would probably be lot happier moving up.
