Has anyone here had any sucess using a proxy server or an anonymizer to hide your IP Address from casino sites? Are you then able to play multiple accounts from the same computer?

Since they conceal your geographic location, is it possible to play casinos normally restricted from my location? I was trying to register with a casino that does not allow U.S. residents, so I registered with my friends address in Mexico. They, of coarse, detected my computer was on U.S. soil. I am certainly interested if anyone has any information, but I must confess that my specialty is in Latin American Studies , not computers.
