Hi, I'm relatively new to the online auction owners circuit. I've been working on a software program I purchased about a little over a year ago. Since the purchase, the software author has disappeared, the software itself was questionably derived from other sources and litigation was settled allowing users like myself the right to keep their respective copies. Since then, there has been a little support from other users, but my limited Perl knowledge has me crawling through fixes, bugs, etc.

That being said, I'm just about ready to officially launch my online venture. I sure could use some advice from other online auction owners as to the best method to promote site traffic, how to avoid scams, where I can find site management resources, etc...

Sorry if there's already a category for this type of questionning, as I may have missed it. If not, maybe admin could create one?

I'm more interested in running a moderately successful auction site than shameful self promotion, so I won't mention the site name at this time. Any guidance would really be helpful!Kevin Burns
