Posted at August 22, 2006, 10:53 am: I am really angry. I paid the $39.95 to have my widget featured on the eBay homepage, and for the, "Maximum Exposure", but got NOTHING but a widget that is burried under layers of subcategories and further burried on page 260 out of 510 pages of the actual category. I e-mailed eBay twice with my concerns and have recieved NO response at all. We all know eBays policy when it comes to refunds.. "we at ebay are not obligated.. and your request does not qualify for a refund..." Below is a copy and paste of the actual feature as displayed on the sellers listing page.. Home Page Featured ($39.95 for 1 item, $79.95 for 2 or more items) Get maximum exposure! Appear in our Featured area and your item is likely to appear on eBay's Home page. ... but when you click on the link and read the fine print you'll see that the chances of actually seeing your widget featured on the homepage is close to nil. My listing does not violate the below terms in any way. With Home Page Featured, your listing has a chance to rotate into a special display on eBay's Home page. The Home Page Featured Fee is charged per listing, and is in addition to other fees such as Insertion Fees and Final Value Fees. Note: You need a feedback score of at least 10 in order to use Home Page Featured. Home Page Featured cannot be used with: Adult listings Listings for services or the sale of information Promotional or advertising listings Listings for novelty items of questionable taste Auction utility software Listings that do not offer a genuine item according to eBay listing policy Certain prohibited, questionable & infringing items It really makes me sick that ebay did not provide the, "maximum exposure" that I paid for and yet my account will be suspended if I do not pay the invoice.
