I just bought a used laser printer that had an offer of an extended warranty. I'm very suspicous of extended warranties, as I have never had a good experience with one. The button was a link to "Square Trade". As I tried to check this Square Trade warranty out, their site had NO listing of service centers, a phone call had to be made. I then did a Google search and found some articles that indicated Square Trade had some fine print that could leave consumers in the cold. I hunted all over Square Trade's site and never could find any definite details about the warranty service. Since they are associated with Ebay, I am fairly certain there has to be a great deal of fine print somewhere, but I couldn't find any. I tried e-mailing the ONLY contact information they had, legal@squaretrade.com and got

If this is any indicator, Square Trade may not be as "square" at trading as they like us to think. In any event, I will take my chances and forego the "warranty".
