Just when it looked like the scammers were getting a little more "professional" in their attempts to rob us, this weekend proves they still have a long way to go - thankfully!

Like many of the scams we get, they seem to come in waves kind of like all of a sudden a whole bunch of similar or identical scams come in from different addresses and websites. Almost seems like someone tells about how to run a scam and a big group all goes out and tries to do it.

Well, this weekend has been no exception except the new attempts all have the same problems - they come in with the body of the email totally blank and the same thing is sent to the same email address at least a dozen times about 10 minutes apart!

It's obviously scams because the subject lines all read the same thing - "You need to confirms your indentity". Doesn't matter where the email actually came from they all read the same and are all blank.

These have come in using the names of PayPal, eBay, Chase bank, Capital One, Mellon bank, RBC Centura and Wells Fargo. Looks like the scammers picked a name from a hat and they all ran with the same scam not knowing what they were doing. Probably, they all just copied the same code that was flawed to start with.

I guess I should be thankful because if they're sending out blank emails they certainly won't get anyone to bite on the link!Steve
