I have no idea what is required to become a vero represenataive for a company through ebay.
With all the fraud going on today I belive it would be possible for unauthorized people to become a vero rep.
I had a charm that was a Ferrari logo and I listed as such. It had been up for months. In Feb. 05 I got the vero message from ebay with a contact email. I sent an email to the address listed and in return got a very informal message back. Misspelled words, unporfessional language (not bad words), it just didn't sound official, no logo.
I re-listed the charm with no mention of a Ferrari, car, no claim of any kind. It was vero'ed again.
I did a quick search on ebay and found several items I know were not authorized that had a Ferrari logo.
A few years back (I have been selling since '99) I had a auction cancelled for using Shabby Chic. I re-listed it using the term Shabby Elegance and the listing was not cancelled again. I just feel the Ferrari situation wan not legit.
As far as I know once a vero company notifies ebay about a listing that listing is gone......no questions asked. This is why I question
the vero process. What if someone becomes a vero rep and also has an interest in eliminating some competition?
