I noticed that recently a third party launched a price infor product called priceminer.com.

It providers subscribers with pricing info as well as full listing text asnd image of past Ebay listings. Go to their site and look in the 'demo' section for 'item detail'. It does not look like an 'Ebay format' detail, but it has all the text and the main image displayed.

The (our) data and (our) image for this third party product is being provided by Ebay.

My concern is that Ebay is selling the hard work of a seller (the auction listing) to third parties without permission and without paying for it.

Our company pays between $4 and $14 for each listing content description to be produced!

This would be a copyright infringement.

To my knowledge we have not signed any user agreement licensing Ebay to sell the listing content to third parties.

Am I mistaken in that assumption that Ebay has no right to sell our listing content?Peter
