Hi all,
Anyone get the email on 9/29 explaining Stamps.com were discontinuing their $4.95/mo plan and all those plans would be switched over to $14.99/mo? I didn't. Found out about it today when I logged on to ship and the window popped up.
If you were on the $4.95/mo plan you paid a minimum of $4.95/mo plus 10% of the postage purchased.
I thought it was was economical and worth 10% not to wait on line, but according to CS they received a lot of calls on it and now discontinued the service.
In my eyes, I have to purchase over $100 in postage a month to justify a $14.99 service fee...I just don't do that. So, I called to complain, and they have a NEW service plan for $7.99/mo flat fee, no more 10%. The big difference is you can't have more than $25 in your account at one time, you can keep adding to the account though.
If you call to change to the $7.99 plan, ask how much you will be charged for October. They told me once the billing cycle started, the $14.99 took effect. I asked him, what if I cancelled, and he said I'd still be charged the $14.99. I complained, and he put in a request to have the $7.99 charged for October, too.
Believe me, $7 is not going to break me this month. I just don't like the way they handled my account, changing it without my notification, and me finding out about it the first day of the billing cycle. Very sneaky.
I am going to look into other plans, now.
My best,
Dana
