I need some one to troubleshoot with me my STEAM games work fine and alll but when i start playing the games i have no audio

EX:When i start up windows i have sound then when i go in the Counter Strike 1.6 and Condition zero i hear the sound effects but when i get in to the map my whole aduio goes dead and i have to restart my computer any one know whats going on?
