Hey guys, I thought a little project might be fun.
Here's the task: Design a new label for Robert Mondavi's new (fictitious) line of Zinfandel wine, "838 Zin."
The details
The Mondavi Winery corporation is looking to capitalize on the recent explosion in 21-35 year-old wine-buyer market. Young and hip, this generation of wine buyer has discovered/rediscovered wine as the social lubricant of choice, more sophisticated alternative to beer or mixed drinks.
The Mondavi corp is looking to launch a new line of Zinfandel, calling it "838 Zin" for it's fun abbreviation, and the fact that only 838 cases will be produced each year
Restrictions
The label can be any shape you choose, as long as the design elements are within the 3.75" x 4.75" visible area on the front of the bottle.
The government warning must be somewhere on the back of the bottle, as well as the address. Download a rich-text file with this text here
Also needed somewhere on the bottle is the RMW logo and the bar code
Besides that, the sky is the limit. Wine is no longer the stuffy dinner drink of our grandparents, and innovative label design is being given its due respect now more than ever. Alcohol packaging is one of the last truely artistic peices of the commercial art world, so I'm sure we'd all love to see what you can come up with

Yeah, Zinfandel is traditionally a red.
Zinfandel is a red wine, White Zinfandel is a white wine.
