Well I guess this is my first post and hopefully not the last. I feel a little uneasy putting my humble scribblings among all these professional works of art, but I guess we all start somewhere. I'm just a humble student with much to learn and a hope to some day get paid for this stuff, so crit mercilessly.
I've recently started preliminary work on a card game (if only I could program I'd make it a computer game), mostly just to fill all the downtime at work. I don't even have the rules really worked out yet, just a rough concept and some initial art work, including this one:

The drawing took me four hours and the Photoshop coloring about the same. I've been drawing all my life, so I've gotten fairly comfortable around pencils, but all this color and light are still pretty mysterious to me, so that's what I need the most help with. Also, I probably got a little carried away with all the lines on the arms, but oh well.
